Your key responsibilities

• Ensure the correct implementation of data collection, analysis and evaluation processes aimed at preparing the scientific assessment;
• Manage the drafting and review of scientific outputs by ensuring an evidence-based risk assessment in the area of toxicology and the safety of chemical substances and/or proteins;
• Strategic coordination of the administrative and scientific support to the activities of the respective Panels and Working Groups (i.e. preparation of working documents, scientific opinions, etc.);
• Develop guidance and methodology documents on toxicological and microbiological risk assessment of chemical substances and/or proteins;
• Keep abreast of scientific and regulatory developments in the areas within EFSA’s remit and provide advice and information on legislative, policy and scientific aspects in the field of toxicology and the safety of chemical substances and/or proteins;
• Ensure the coordination with European, national and international stakeholders of EFSA within the scientific activities of the organisation and in particular related to chemical substances;
• Coordinate and provide guidance for the scientific work to achieve scientific excellence.
